I've been thinking about a lot of the pre-1940s designs that occasionally show up here, and how they seem to cross the line between popular and obscure types; this is sort of a subjective viewpoint as not all rotorheads pay attention to these types other than niche historians like myself.
Should I create a separate section for these developments? Should I divide things between pre-1945/post-1945 like SPF does? Feedback, please.

You talked to me about this in 2015 remember? you said that you would do it if a split feature is installd. I agree since some of those earlier types are mixed with post 1940s era projects and the threads would need to be split up.
its a good idea though :)
