The project is currently in the rough design stage, but, according to Rehan, the prototype should be under construction by this Summer.
Hi Stingray, thank you. My challenge is attached below. And this is good to know. Me and I'm sure the rest of us would very much like to see it take flight so please update when you can.
Hi Stargazer2006, I forgot that you can view filenames and especially when saving the file to your own computer. I will rename them next time. Sorry for this.
"I would have posted a Convair proposal as an upgrade to the Model 49 but my files are missing."
Hello Kabomber, I hope your file issue has been resolved. Can you please share with us this upgrade to the Model 49? I have never heard of any upgrade to this project before. Thanks.
Cardoen Long Ranger attack helicopter mockup. It would add more challenge if you edit out the obvious pointers in the photos... the big bold "CARDOEN" in the background gives it away horribly.
In the Army we called this one an OH 6 Cayuse..........not sure if I spelled it right. Or the "flying Egg" I think a Howard Hughes design, but not sure.............anyone got further details?
Dave

Dave, you're right, the Army's H-6 observation model is designated OH-6, but the armed version is designated AH-6 "Little Bird", plus the later modified version known as the MD-500 "Defender". The Navy's designation for helicopters usually goes by SH- or TH-, but I'm not too familiar with the H-6 series, so I might have gotten a few wrong.

Here is my next challenge. It should be more difficult. I would have posted a Convair proposal as an upgrade to the Model 49 but my files are missing.
The photo attached to the above post is actually the YEH-60B SOTAS (Stand Off Target Aquisition System) bird. Here's the real deal before she got the SLAR boom. Notice the long legs on the landing gear.
