Nice idea to start a fanart section. Here is a series of imaginary models and/or versions I did (they have already been published on the What If forum):
Bell-Boeing 901LF Long Osprey (CV-22C)
Boeing/Bell PLR (XCV-16A)
McDonnell Douglas DC-Z Delta Roton
Rotary Rocket/MDD Delta Hudson
Bell 930 Pawnee (YAH-74A) [reused somebody else's art for this one]
The two Delta vehicles were done a few years ago, when I did not master the software so well, so bear with me!
Thanks! I actually use an old version of Paint Shop Pro, as Photoshop is too expensive. Yes, I do all the work myself (except for the Bell 930, which, as I said earlier, was done by combining two profiles illustrated by the What If forum's Robert.
If you're interested, allow me to show you in the following attachments some of the pictures I used to create the Long Osprey (I used a couple more for the various personnel and a couple of details, but I failed to save them in the directory).
The Moller M-400 Skycar may never really takeoff... but if it did, it *could* result in a military version for the Army, which I have called the M-400M or XUV-29A...
1) The SNCAN Nord 6000 GirafeVTOL convoy fighter. 2) The Fairey Crocodile I, a production variant for RAAF. 3) The Boeing 888 Dragonliner, an upscale airliner variant of the X-50 prototype.
Hope you like them... and even if you don't, tell me what you think!
Thank you guys and gals! It's encouraging that you're appreciating my work. I put a lot of time and effort in it, but it's such a pleasure to do that I don't really mind... My greatest reward is always to know that I was able to put a smile on somebody's face!!!
The works you see in this gallery are but a small sample of all the aircraft I've created (or rather re-created) over the past two years or so, i.e. only the rotorcraft and VTOL projects. There are two online galleries that present my work in full, and which both contain approximately the same material (over 200 imaginary aircraft in all, and more added every week):
Wow I never saw aviation art like this before ,you are a good artist Stargazer2006 ! I know the are edits of photographs but did you take some of them yourself?
Ask me what's my favorite helicopter design ever, and I'll tell you "S-67 Blackhawk" in a hearbeat... Since I can't top this design, this is bound to be more ungainly, but it was fun nonetheless. Here's the S-670 White Condor demonstrator, a much enlarged transport derivative. It was produced as a demonstrator for small commuter airlines and troop transport...
