See this on the screen? I can't tell exactly what it is but it might be a picture of the inside of Kane's throat, and note a strange sort of object barely hidden deep inside. This I believe is a vague hint that Ash knows exacly what's going on with Kane and keeps this (as well as his overall intentions) a secret.
And this... he's drinking milk. Okay, so what's the big deal here?
Well, a small theory is that it's another vague hint about Ash.

I remember the first time I saw Alien... I was shaking the whole time, but got a little familiar with how the alien does what it does. The scene with Ash really threw me off and took my understanding of the film in a completely different direction. This movie is pure genious.

The comic series was one thing, but for someone to even think of making a live action Frankenstein Meets Werewolf type of monster movie bash like this clearly has no respect for the two franchises and only cares about the money that will be made from it.

Well, I personally hate the whole idea since it ALMOST killed the chances of ever seeing a fifth Alien movie. Thank God for true fans who supported the franchises separately like me.

That was Peter Briggs who pitched the idea to Fox. He wrote the original script back in 1991 which was closely based on the original comics.
If you look closely at the inside of the Predator ship in Predator 2 you will see a xenomorph skull in a trophy case. This I think launched the whole AVP idea from the start.

Ellen Ripley, and that was Alien Ressurection. Worst Alien movie ever made.
I'm not sure, but it could be the flames made the glass reach it's melting point and the pressure of the contents made the containers burst as a result. Not sure if that's how it works though.

I'm doing some browsing and it seems that Promethius is not much of a prequel centering around the famed xenomorph. The entire story is about the origin of the Space Jockey and that's all. Where's the thrill in that? Sure we all want to know about the unknown race, but it's just not Alien without *the* Alien that started it all!
"I walk on the set and I feel like Im walking on a spaceship", Fassbender said. "Its breathtaking. All the various panels and screens and its just dealing with a top-notch art department and carpenters and the riggers and everything that goes into putting that together. Its just, well, breathtaking, all of it."
...
Fassbender wasnt at liberty to say too much about the film but I asked him if the character hes portraying has been especially elusive or if the contours are made clear by the script. "I feel Ive got it at my fingertips, its there but challenging and, you know, Im excited. Ive got a few ideas that Im running with and I think Ive got a grasp on it but its always something that, organically, moving on its own course. Im having a lot of fun with it. Theres a lot of interesting quirks and niches to him and Im having a lot of fun exploring it."
Even though its still in the early days on the set, Fassbender said interacting with Scott has been a career moment for him. "Its great. Hes just so precise and fun and mischievous and just full of interesting and quirky ideas for the character. They come to you in passing but then he lets you run with it and theres a lot of freedom there. Im really just enjoying it and everything in general, the whole crew is so veteran and talented from all departments down, the camera, wardrobe, makeup, props, the works youve got the cream of the crop and its an honor just to be allowed to be part of it."
[On Blade Runner] "Its my favorite movie. I just love that movie. And really I love all the different versions, I just dont care, I love that world and whatever you want to take from it you can take from it, nothing is fore-set in any way. I love that its a very feasible futuristic place, and again that quality that youre in a thriller but you dont know it. Theres always something at play and everyone has an agenda but none of it is really openly expressed."

When MTV News recently asked the Swedish actress about the definitive "Alien" connection, she answered, simply, "Yeah, yeah."
Yet Rapace emphasized that her character, a scientist named Elizabeth Shaw, is not some knock off of Sigourney Weaver's Ripley the take-no-crap hero of the original "Alien" movies.
"She's definitely her own," Rapace said of Shaw. "She's a scientist and she's very bright and she's a believer. They have some similarities, but she's very much her own. I don't think people will compare [her] so much to Ripley when they see her. Ripley was a hero for me."
...
"I have many ideas and he has many ideas, and now we try to find her," the actress told us. "I will step into her shoes in March and be here for six months, so it's quite a long shoot."
You mentioned earlier that you're starring in Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus.' You must be over the moon.
Over the moon, yeah! Exactly. In space, literally! [Laughs] It's amazing. Jesus. I mean, I'm pinching myself on a regular basis, really. I couldn't have asked for a better position to be in. Ridley Scott is obviously a super-smart guy, and a great filmmaker. And it's a really, really good script. I was really surprised by the originality of it, and yet it still holds a lot of what the original films -- the story, rather; there's still a very strong link to that. But then it's a totally fresh outlook, as well. So, yeah. I'm really excited about it. It's a very intelligent script. I've got about a week between this film and that, so I've got to get my **** together. [Laughs]

Asked about the connection between Scott's Alien and Prometheus, he added: "Prometheus is in some ways connected to that, yes. Is it in storyline? I'm not at liberty to say but I will tell you that if you can imagine a young Ridley Scott making a film like Alien [in the '70s], just imagine what he can do now."
