Kazan Aviation Institute:

Kazan KAI-30 "Koltseplan" - Project for a VTOL aircraft, led to work on the KAI-31. Unbuilt.

Kazan KAI-31 "Koltseplan" - Single-seat VTOL aircraft with ducted tilt-rotors and ducted pusher propeller. Mockup only.

Kazan KAI-48 - Amphibious towed autogyro with twin-boom floats built in 1980, based on the Kharkov HAI-32 from 1978.

Kazan KAI-002 "Lark" / "Skylark" - Ultralight coaxial-rotor helicopter displayed in 2012.

Kazan "Turbodiskolet" - Project for a rescue aircraft with a five-blade rotor system that folds into a large rotating disk-wing.

 

Kazan Helicopter Plant:

Kazan "Ansat" - Light utility helicopter, first flight 1999.

  • Ansat-U - Military training variant with dual controls.
  • Ansat-UT - Ansat-U to be fitted with wheel landing gear instead of skids.
  • Ansat-M - Projected air ambulance to carry two stretchers.
  • Ansat-UM - Projected military medevac to carry four stretchers.
  • Ansat-2RC / "Ansat Nablyudatel" - Armed Reconnaissance helicopter (ARH) based on the Ansat utility helicopter.
  • Ansat-3 Maksimum - Medium transport helicopter. Cabin mockup displayed in 2003.

Kazan "Aktai" - Three-seat light multirole helicopter.

I know of the Kazan Ansat, but is there any way to see what theses birds may have looked or look like? :) Kind regards, Jeremy

KAI-48 was built, it was a amphibius towed autogyro with twin-boom floats, built in 1980. It was based on the Kharkov HAI-32 built in 1978.
