Dear Stingray,

I just found your website and forum for the first time, so I added your website to Helicopter Links "Helicopter Museums & Helicopter Virtual Sites" web page here: http://www.helicopterlinks.com/museums

During 2013, 711 people visited the above Helicopter Links web page.

And a comment, please? When I was registering, I saw that you only had male and female radio buttons. A person can choose either one or the other. Have you considered adding another choice which could be: "Transgender"? How about "Decline to State" and I met a person, one time, who said they preferred the term "Gender Neutral"!! How about another idea? Maybe having another choice allowing people to write in their gender? Does that make sense?

I wish I was able to change this, but unfortunately ActiveBoard software leaves me only the two choices without being able to change any HTML. It is not mandatory when registering, so it can be left blank.

ActiveBoard seems to be a bit behind the times on a lot of things. We just got a "merge" feature last year, but not the more vital "split" yet, which we really need desperately so I can change my old teenaged sense of organization (I started these sites when I was 13).

Users and administrators like me submit requests all the time, but they seem to be on their own little mission. I can only hope the next software update brings more important changes and additions.

Ah interesting, I did not know that Facebook had all those gender options. There's some on that list I never heard about! Geez. I thought I was up on gender terms but I guess I'm not!

My knowledge of gender was limited to this: That Transgender (is an umbrella term for all transgender type terms) then if one wants to be to be specific, I thought you use Transgender MTF (Male to Female) [Born with male parts but has a female brain, which is why you might want to change to female parts, if you can afford the surgery] or Transgender FTM (Female to Male) [Born with female parts but has a male brain, which is why you might want male parts, if you can afford the surgery] and then I knew about the term: Intersex (born with both sex organs).

I guess I have to go and learn more about gender!!!
