Hi everyone on Stingray's Rotorcraft Forum! I am retroistic.
I am here because I have a mutual interest in rotorcraft history and design, and would like to help expand the site if I can.
I have also seen the main site. I will be honest... it is a nice start, and a very large archive indeed, but what bothers me is about 85% of it seems like a carbon copy of aviastar.org. I do not think the webmaster of that site would appreciate that, unless he has helped you with this one?
All the best,
Welcome. Yes, that has bothered me too, however Stingray is currently working hard to update the information as not to appear so much as a copy of the other site. I believe the copied pages merely serve as 'placeholders' until he can get around to it.
Welcome, Retroistic! (Love that username, by the way.)
Thanks for your honesty towards my site, and I'm glad you pointed that out. Gunship was correct, the copied pages are as they are to remind me to fix them up more original. Otherwise I'm simply compiling from multiple sources to lessen the headache of webpage-after-webpage type of research work by other users. No worries, my intentions are not to steal from aviastar.org or claim it all as my own work!
Enjoy your stay, and please don't hesitate to PM me or a moderator if you need any help or have any questions!
