Hi, All. I'm  retired from Bell Helicopter, worked there  from 1953 to 1973, Worked mostly in Bell's engineering "Experimental Projects Group"

These are the projects I worked on, XV-3 Convertiplane,  UH-1D, Mock up, and first 7 prototypes, Early model 206 Jet Ranger,  Cobra, N209J .

Befor going to Bell, I worked for about a year for Central Airlines at Meacham field in Fort Worth, at that time they used six DC-3 aircraft, My job there was creating FAA drawings to upgrade their avionics.

Always loved airplanes, built and flew models as a kid, wanted to be a pilot, and at 12 years of age, the optromist burst my bubble by telling, I would never fly because I had one weak eye, and couldn't judge distance.

If I had known about Wiley Post, I might have been a pilot.

And if he had known about Wiley Post, he would have been a better doctor!!

Too bad you never got a chance to pilot... but fortunately aviation gives us non-pilots many more ways of enjoying ourselves!

Densew,

Welcome to the forum.  I ama huge fam of Bell and have been collecting anything related to Bell projects for years.  Great to have someone who worked on so many historic aircraft.  I love the original configuration of the YUH-1D's with the B model tail booms.
