"Travis E. Britt films" logo test:
Forgot to update.
I added a rear fold-out ramp with emergency double airlock door.
More shots of the Dreadnaught, and a decal paper:
Taarna and a special model for an effects shot, in which I project a light through the openings and move small wires behind it, making the illusion of a window with people moving around behind it.
The escape shuttle "Aeronaut", losely based on the design by DA artist Farawayforest:
My mother and our landlord do contribute lightly to the project, such as supplying a prop or two, otherwise everthing is done myself. Script, models, sets, costumes, filming, editing, etc.
Progress on the Taarna shuttle set:
Finally, a REAL sneak preview:
Forget Prometheus I wanna see this!!!!
/ducks for cover.
Vince Johnson - A merciless enemy but a powerful ally.
I sure will, though it will be a bit crude. I'm going to use shadows of the dim-lit sets to hide any noticeable mistakes in the costume. Sort of like how the original was hidden as not to appear so 'man-in-a-suit'-like.
I haven't gotten any yet. When I finish the Taarna set I might give my local drama teacher a call. Hopefully she can reccomend some people.
How far are you in the project now? I trust it should be nearly complete by now.
Yippie Kai Yay, Mr. Falcon.
Nope, now I'm on to building the bridge set and the Hovercopter model:
Ha ha! The easter eggs you're throwing into the backround of this movie are hilarious. The Mi-24B-shaped hovercopter co.ckpit is one thing, but the sticky notes took it to the next level. "HESHAM! FIX SECONDARY COOLING FAN!"
OMG, this made my day. I wonder what Hesham would think of this shoutout.
Either he would be very offended or deeply honored. 50/50. We'll see when he actually watches the vid.
What once was but won't be anymore:
What happened to this project?
We have here the latest in primitive technology.
Internet + Opinions = OMG we are SCREWED!
The actors quit, and the bridge set was scheduled to be taken down three weeks after that happened. No more actors, no more set, no reason to resurrect the project any time soon.
I recycled all of the models into a new movie called Battlewings, with some new models made exclusively for it. I'm still *kind of* making Battlewings, though now I have a sci-fi book in the works. Need some money.
