Agreed. Pretty artist impressions are just pretty artist impressions that sometimes forget about the technical aspect because they're too busy looking attractive. xD

gear reduced radial engine with oil tank on the nose gear case???? Is it a single place? or early europe project??? Smallish critter???

That engine set up is not American Not Kenner, Jacobs or Wright. Gerrrrr.

Yup it was a Cierva collab.

It was a two-seat experimental with direct control. Engine was a 75hp Pobjoy R air-cooled radial. A second one was built with a longer fuselage but it crashed.

It was the dog fight down the LA river just south east of the police heliport, Saw the jet ranger & Thunder making passes past the pillers & a "news" A-star hovering over head...Lots of camera gear around. when we got finished with the job we went home the same route saw they were parked on the river bottom just south of the 101 ( lunch with craft services?)
