It's new at Bell (5 years ago @ bell school), Modular Airframe/powerplant system to build aircraft using componets that can be mixed & matched for custemer requirments all on paper & deals more with future manufacturing and not a specific airframe.

Bell Model D-261 Double combat helicopter project, it is not clear how you can sit in the front cabin, it is very small for the pilot.

WOW thanks for picture, no wonder Lockheed won. This looks weird, but interesting approach for high speed helicopter.
